Bata Family Inspired

So, I met Rachel Bata on Facebook through a LuLaRoe Buy/Sale/Trade page. I was searching for consultants in San Jose and found her and we start talking and hit it off! So since I love LuLaRoe, and she needed updated family photos, we knew we had to work together.

Before the shoot, she warned me that her 4.5 year old twins were a bit shy. She even told me a story about their last time trying to get photos done a couple years back at JC Penny's and how horrible it was. Their experience wasn't a pleasant one, and the kids were far from being happy. So I knew going in that I would need to be more of a friend hanging out, rather than a photographer... if that makes sense. But that's how I like to handle my sessions anyway. I prefer to let the session flow naturally and let the family's love for one another guide the photos.

Honestly, I was a bit nervous before the shoot because I wanted to give them the best photos possible and I was praying that the kiddos would feel the same. Well, I'm happy to say that with small bribes of candy and toys, they did amazing.

We also talked a lot about Disneyland since they were taking a trip in a couple days. Their outfits even had some Disney flare to them.

Rachel mentioned to me that her and her hubby hadn't really had their photo taken since their wedding. So I knew we needed to change that. Every couple needs a good photo of them... because that's where it all started anyhow.

Before getting photos of just the twins I asked if they liked to hug and be next to each other, because honestly, it's a 50/50 shot it could go either way. But when they said that they loved each other and were so close, my heart skipped a beat.

But of course there isn't love without some roughhousing...

They were seriously the sweetest.

It was so much fun to be able to capture this time in their lives, and I'm so glad that it was a better experience for them than the last time they tried to get photos taken. This family has so much love for each other and I loved how evident that was in their photos.

Thank you Bata Family for allowing me to capture your family's photos.
